We spent a few days at Hartwell last summer too. The very first morning, Brent had a very rigorous swim thanks to a wayward pirate ship. The boys were playing in the ship, and all decided they were finished. Everyone abandoned ship, but no one had ahold of it at the dock. Before we could stop it, the wind picked it up and blew it beyond our reach. Brent jumped in with a life jacket to catch it, but the wind picked up speed and very quickly blew the ship nearly around the point! Brent is the small dot to the left of the pirate ship in the picture below.
He said he had never kicked so hard in his life and was just about to give up and call it a loss when his hand hit the ship. Then he had to drag it back around to the dock! The boys were very glad he rescued it!
Andrew and Coleman decided to give skiing a try. They each got up and skied in a squat for a good little ways. We tried to tell them to stand on up, but they didn't feel quite ready to do that. Andrew has said he'll stand up this summer.
