National Pancake Day

Yesterday was National Pancake Day! IHOPs across the country were giving away free short stacks of pancakes to everyone who came in yesterday. So we met Brent for supper last night. The yahoos were super excited when I told them our plans before nap, and they worked very hard to help get the house cleaned up before we left. The place was packed, but Brent had gotten there ahead of us so we only had to wait for about five minutes.

When the waitress came to take our order, Andrew asked for 500 pancakes. She thought that was pretty funny. Our food came really fast, and it was so yummy! Andrew was so excited about all the syrup choices. He could not wait to try them out on his pancakes. In fact, it was so hard to be patient that while Brent was cutting up his pancakes, we caught Andrew LICKING THE SYRUP BOTTLE!!

While we were making the above pictures, we thought Jonathan was eating a graham cracker I had given him. We turned around to find that he was helping himself to the top pancake from Brent's plate!

We are so glad to see March on our calendar! February was full of sickness in our house, and we are ready for warmer temps, fewer germs, and lots of fun! National Pancake Day was a great start to the month!
