On the Loose with Dr. Seuss!

Today is Dr. Seuss's birthday! He is no longer living, but children everywhere still celebrate each year. We started our celebration last night with supper. I had planned to have breakfast for supper, with a twist. Andrew loves it when breakfast is on the menu for supper, but he was a little unsure of the green eggs that showed up with the ham! Brent actually missed the funniest expression when I set the plate down, but this picture is still pretty funny.

I didn't turn all of the eggs green, so when we gave Coleman the choice between green and yellow eggs, he said, "Ummmm, yellow."

Each boy had a cat hat to wear.

After baths, we played put the egg on the plate. The boys were blindfolded and then had to get a picture of green eggs on the plate with the ham. Andrew especially loved this! He was jumping all around the living room he was so excited. I think it was the first time they had been blindfolded.

After they played it once, I "scrambled" them up. Andrew laughed hysterically the whole time. You can see he was a bit disoriented. He's trying to put his egg on the chair.

And here's Little Cat J.

Andrew put his cat hat on this morning while he waited for breakfast.

Oh, and it snowed again here in Michigan. I mean Georgia. What a crazy cold winter this has been! Jonathan got to get wrapped up and get his picture made with the snow this time.

This has got to be one of the cutest things ever! You are such a fun, creative Mommy and those boys are going to have such fun memories of all these neat and special things you do for them!
