One morning this winter, Andrew and Coleman made our pinecone birdfeeders. Just like last year, they did a really good job and had lots of fun.
After we finished making the feeders, I hung them outside on the crepe myrtle by our dining room window. Last year Andrew and I enjoyed watching the birds perch and eat our treat for them. The day after I hung them was Andrew's birthday party, so we didn't get outside and make their picture with the feeders in the tree. A couple of days later, we noticed this.
The feeders were gone and all that was left was the string we tied them to the tree with! The pinecones were nowhere to be found. We can only come up with one solution to our mystery. Deer must eat pinecones.
