Halloween 2012 - Part 1

We had a super fun Halloween this year.  With three boys how could it be anything else?  Halloween afternoon, Andrew and Coleman did a fun art project making a family of monsters.  Here are a few shots of the gang.

This was Coleman's creation.  He never ceases to amaze me with his creativity.  He knew exactly what he wanted his monster to look like and was super pleased with the results of his Frankenstein.

For supper that night we had jack-o-lantern cheeseburgers.  When we sat down to eat, I turned on a Halloween CD that I have had since my student teaching.  "Monster Mash" was the first song to come on, and as soon as the boys heard it, they stopped eating, sat still for just a minute, and then got up and started dancing up a storm!  They have replayed it several times this week and absolutely love it!

As soon as they finished eating, it was into their costumes to go trick-or-treating.  This year we had a fireman, Darth Vader, and Indiana Jones.  Also known as Indy-Andrew.

They were all super excited to get going.  Brent took them out with our across-the-street friends and they had a big time.

Brent said they all remembered to say "Thank you" each time, and Jonathan made sure to tell everyone, "Happy Halloween!"

They stayed gone for almost an hour and came home loaded down!

Here's a picture of our pumpkin Brent carved.  We got lots of compliments on it from our trick-or-treaters.

And then they came inside to check out their haul.

They were all so sweet and chose some pieces to share with their parents, without us even asking!  Lots more Halloween fun was had, so I'll post about it tomorrow.  Hopefully!
