Everyone arrived around 11:30. We visited for a few minutes and then sent the men off to lunch at the Longstreet Cafe. The grandmothers were all seated at our table with Andrew and Coleman.
For lunch we had chicken salad, crackers, strawberry pretzel salad, cheese straws, pimento cheese sandwiches, grapes, and frozen salads.
For dessert we served pecan tassies and lemon squares.
After we ate, we went outside on the deck to make pictures of each grandmother with the yahoos. Jonathan woke up just in time for the photos. I'm not sure if you can tell, but the yahoos were beginning to get a little restless. They were in need of some "run-and-play-and-yell-real-loud time." But they hung in there and did a super job.
Coleman had been watching the frozen salads in the freezer all morning, and was very excited to try one. He loved it, and so did Andrew! Both boys did really well eating, or at least trying, all that "girly" food.

Before everyone left, we gave them a painted flower pot. We made handprint butterflies and dragonflies to decorate them. I am very disappointed not to have gotten a picture of the grands with their gifts, but oh well. The afternoon was really fun, and we are already looking forward to next year's lunch.
